Blog entry #8 (March 29, 2004 – April 3, 2004) Sites in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

We dropped off of the Natchez Trace Parkway in northern Mississippi. The balance of the return trip to North Carolina included stops in Alabama at the Natural Bridge in Natural Bridge, a 270 ft covered bridge in Cullman, the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Hanceville; in Georgia at Consolidated Gold Mine, Dahlonega; Historic Travelers Rest, Toccoa; and a stay at Liberty Lodge, Walhalla, South Carolina.  We then traversed northwestern South Carolina on Route 11; made a homecoming stop at Dan’s sister’s house south of Charlotte, North Carolina and wrapped up the stops with dinner at the Blue Mist Bar-B-Q in Asheboro, North Carolina.
